On the sweltering soil of Xuzhou in August, another significant milestone was added to China’s drive to become a powerhouse in equipment manufacturing: the world’s first 14,000‑ton class rail‑mounted crane officially rolled off the production line. As the current global leader in lifting capacity and a critical national asset, this crane’s commissioning foundation was designed by Zhongji Yiyuan; all construction work has now been completed, and the facility has been put into formal operation. The project innovatively employed a large‑diameter pile foundation with an individual pile ultimate bearing capacity of 3,600 tons, ultimately boosting the structure’s total ultimate bearing capacity to 285,000 tons.
Zhongji Yiyuan upholds a corporate ethos of technological innovation and co‑creating value. Departing entirely from the conventional design approaches of large state‑owned enterprises, it draws on our company’s extensive experience in multidimensional engineering design for heavy‑load metallurgical and steel projects. By integrating advanced heavy‑process engineering, optimized material‑saving and energy‑efficient design, and delivering significant value to clients, Zhongji Yiyuan has developed a groundbreaking load‑transfer system featuring coordinated action among piles, beams, and raft foundations. This ensures that critical national infrastructure is constructed, operated, and maintained safely, reliably, and at an economically sound cost.
Looking ahead, Zhongji Yiyuan will continue to advance the integration of intelligent construction with industrial design, consistently cultivate a team of multidisciplinary research and design professionals skilled in both engineering and craftsmanship, and collaborate with clients to deliver social, economic, and safety‑related value.
